Cookie Policy

Last updated: September 28, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how MedSalesCoach uses cookies and similar technologies on medsalescoach.com, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device to store information between page loads or visits. Similar technologies, including browser local storage, session storage, pixels, and tags, serve comparable purposes, and we refer to all of them as “cookies” in this policy.

Cookies set by medsalescoach.com are “first-party” cookies. Cookies set by the services we embed, such as our scheduling and video providers, are “third-party” cookies and are controlled by those providers.

2. How We Use Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Make the site work: keep the site secure, load pages correctly, and preserve what you have entered in a form as you move through it.
  • Remember your marketing source: record the campaign link and referring site that first brought you here and, separately, the most recent one, so we can attribute an application to the right channel. We store these in first-party cookies named msc_ft and msc_lt that last 90 days. If you arrived through a personal link we sent you, we also store its code in a cookie named msc_ref so your application reaches the right conversation. These cookies hold campaign information only, never your name or contact details.
  • Measure and improve: count page visits and the campaigns that bring them, and understand how far people get through the application, using our analytics provider, PostHog.
  • Deliver embedded content: allow embedded scheduling and video players to function and remember playback state.
  • Support advertising measurement: where we run paid campaigns, recognize that a visit came from an ad so we can measure results.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary

Required for the website to operate, including security, load balancing, and basic page delivery. These cannot be switched off through our site, and the site will not function correctly without them.

3.2 Functional

Remember choices and context so the experience works as intended, including the marketing source cookies described above and the state of any embedded scheduling or video player.

3.3 Analytics and Performance

Help us understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed, which campaigns bring visitors, and where people leave the application flow. We use PostHog for this. PostHog sets its own first-party cookie on medsalescoach.com, and its requests pass through our own domain. We record page visits only: we do not record your screen, clicks, or keystrokes. If you submit a form, we link your earlier visits to your application using an internal identifier; we do not send PostHog your name, email address, phone number, or answers.

3.4 Advertising and Attribution

Where we advertise, these help us measure which campaigns lead to applications. We record advertising click identifiers such as gclid, fbclid, li_fat_id, ttclid, and msclkid when they appear in the link you arrive through, and keep them with the marketing source cookies described above.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some cookies are placed by the providers we use to deliver parts of the site, including our scheduling provider, our video hosting provider, our payment processor, and our advertising platforms. These providers set and control their own cookies according to their own policies, which we encourage you to review. We do not control what these third parties collect through those cookies.

5. How Long Cookies Last

  • Session storage and session cookies are cleared when you close your browser tab or window.
  • Our marketing source cookies (msc_ft, msc_lt, and msc_ref) last 90 days from when they were last set. PostHog's analytics cookie lasts up to one year.
  • Other persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. Third-party advertising cookies typically persist for a period set by the provider, commonly up to two years.

6. Managing Your Preferences

You can control cookies through your browser settings, which typically let you view stored cookies, delete them, block third-party cookies, or block cookies entirely. Browsers also offer a private browsing mode that clears storage when the session ends.

Blocking or deleting cookies is your right, but it may affect how the site works: embedded scheduling and video may not load correctly, and forms may not retain what you have entered. Deleting cookies also removes any opt-out preferences stored in them.

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies and will give you a way to change that choice.

7. Do Not Track

Our website does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, as no common industry standard for them exists. We will update this policy if that changes.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as the tools we use change. The current version is identified by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
